For those crafty folks eager to create puzzle packs, SolerSoft is releasing a script for the image editing program GIMP. The script takes care of three important steps: doubling the width, cloning the image and making sure the two copies line up just right.

Once the script is installed it can be found under Filters -> Photohunt -> Make Puzzle.
First, download PhotohuntGIMP and extract it into a temporary folder. Inside you’ll find photohunt.scm which needs to be placed in your GIMP scripts folder. This folder is usually either:
C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\share\gimp\2.0\scripts
C:\Program Files (x86)\GIMP 2\share\gimp\2.0\scripts
You may need to accept a security prompt in order to copy the script file into this folder. Once the script file is installed, close GIMP and re-open it or choose Filters -> Script Fu -> Refresh Scripts.
